Block is remaining silver and the headers will likely be ceramic coated (silver).  Black should be a good choice...

The blue and black....that will look clean and beautiful! Gotta make sure to mix things up so not too much is trapped to one area of the engine...everything spread out so it will look good but uniform.

I'm planning (probably not immediately) to use stainless braided hoses where I can along with the black AN fittings.  The black braided hoses are cool too though...

Check my thread on YT where I did those coil springs....those were done in wet black. See if you like that gloss or maybe a little less.

I finally got my stuff packed up last night.  All 46+ pounds of it.  It will finallly leave today via USPS.

There were a few other items thrown in there...  My Wabfab Hi Lift adapter, a winch hook, and 3 sets of hub dials.  J - I'd like the hub dials with the letters sanded down and cleared like you've done for a bunch of folks.  I labelled everything, but in  a nutshell:

  • Intake, coolant housings, valve covers, and a the EGR block off plate to be dark blue.  (the upper intake "fins" I'd like in silver - not the sparkle silver, something toned down a little - I need to match that silver with a rattle can for some plastic I'm coating to match)
  • All fuel line banjos and rails to be gloss black.
  • The two loose tubes (1 long banjo and a coolant pipe) to be gloss black.
  • All nuts and bolts sent to be gloss black.
  • The pulley, engine hooks, misc brackets, and other stuff in the big ziploc are all gloss black.
  • Slider adapter and winch hook to be Hi Lift red.  Was going to send my "Jack-Mate" to get coated too, but forgot to pack it (and I'm not opening that box back up - it will make the next load)

Now to figure out which blue I had chosen.  I can't remember which one I matched up now....

How big is that new oven?  Will it fit a 60" Hi Lift?

Sneak peak:

It's a nice dark blue - nearly identical to the body color of my 4Runner - I think this pic is close to the real color.

More to come!

It should be noted that the PC work was done by Jeremy Loudin at Loudins Powder Coating. He's great to work with.

Glad I could do the work for ya Cebby! That one you have labeled lower intake...thats actually the underside of the plenum. I just figured out a way I can do the lower intake without hanging it in the oven. I think I'm gonna work on all of your coolant pipes tomorrow.
