parts drawings
« on: March 05, 2009, 10:36:15 PM »
does anybody know of a place where i could find detailed drawings of toyota parts with dimensions? Id like to draw up a bellhousing and flywheel to mate a 1UZ to an R150. I can have them made myself for a hell of alot cheaper than buying.

You can buy a drawing of the 1UZ to R154 over on V-Eight.com.  I need someone to verify that the R150 and R154 have the same bellhousing pattern.  I *think* they do.

in this thread they talk about the r-series tranmissions like they have the same bellhouse pattern. good enough confirmation for me.

I had a lot of questions on distancing with transmission adapters to a 1UZ so that the input shaft fits and i found this. its alot of cluttered information, but close to the bottom of the first post, where it says part III, theres a couple things about input shaft lengths. notably, the R151 input shaft and bellhousing is an inch shorter.

based on this, im thinking if you made an adapter for an R150, you could use the bellhousing from an R151 and make the adapter thick enough to make up the difference.

any feedback on whether or not im right would be awesome.
