2uzfe - 05 Immobilizer & ECU Questions
« on: February 17, 2008, 02:29:24 PM »
So I need a little help...I got the main ecu out of an 04 double cab 4.7l v8 part no 89661-0c390. I have the harness that connects to all the engine bolt ons, I got the e gas pedal, and I need to know what else I need.
Is there a way to tell if the ecu i have is from an "immobilized" vehicle? Meaning from my understanding that the key sends a signal to the immobilizer ecu which sends a signal to main ecu and ignition etc..
Someone has the in cab harness available from an 05 immobilized vehicle and Im wondering if I can make it work. Does anyone have the slightest clue??
Also, I dont have the main fuse/relay box for the 2uzfe. Is this necessary for the swap or will I be utilizing my 94 fuse box as I plan on using the stock key tumbler ignition
ANy Help IS GreaTly AppReciatED!! ???

Read 2-digit error codes (shorten TC to E1 and see warning light flashing)
If you see code 99 among others then it's immobilized
It's not too hard though to work with immobilized ecus
