Hooking up your Snorkle to AFM
« on: April 04, 2007, 06:54:33 PM »
This was just my idea for a quick install as i wanted to keep my snorkle for cold, clean air intake. i still have place a tube in the first bend to hook up the ISC hose and mount my AFM securly. I made a custom carbon fibre adapter to go from square to round to join into my air box. which is not finsihed yet either.

Hey Ice

Have u looked into turning the plenium (or top half of the intake manifold whatever its called) 180 deg?
May make for a neater install. Although u lose the toyota badge at the front.

Yeah, if I was you, I would've flipped the plenum and gone for a shorter tube. Then, I would've just flipped the badge around so that it said V8 at the back ;-).... Regardless, it looks like it'll work good.

Great idea i had considered it, however hooking up the throttle would pose a problem? the cable has to pull from the other direction. ? otherwise i would, also what about ISC valve hose? ive heard of it been done though, maybe in the us where the throtlle is on that side?
