thanks,  i really dig the butterscotch colour,  its great for looking alot cleaner than it is.  Your truck looks like it could fit a larger tyre and might make the trans shift points wider?  i know on twistys toy hes running the toyota 5 speed but he seems to like the 4.88's and the lexus motor for the 35"s  wonder how the lexus auto box would like them?

wish i had a 1uz to show off.  but i don't.  still running on the stock 3vz,  limping would be more like it tho lol.

cruiser coils,  bj spacers with relaxed torsions.  33x12.5 bfg mt's.  one time use rock sliders are gone (running boards)

how do you like your 1uz with the auto in it?  i keep thinking it would be alot easier to mate to the stock 5 speed but would rather have an auto personally  (without the headache of cebbys  3 year build :P

Sourcing your UZ Engine and Compatibilty Issues / Re: 2UZ with no keys

in 2003 im pretty sure chipped keys were an option.  i've done remote starters in afew and not all of them have the black chipped keys.  they became standard equipment in 2006 for most,  corolla in 2007.   hope that helps.

ah okay the custom paint makes sense.  how do you like the stock tails for backing up?  my toyota has no tire carrier so i have the plate mounted reverse lights which aren't great.  would the down under tail lights be different from our version of the tire mount equipped tail lights?

that thing sounds awesoem and i love where the exhaust exits.  save it from getting crushed on some drop ins im sure.

haha niiiiiiice,  the final touch!

super clean is awesome,  never let it sit on the bottom end case of a motor cycle tho.  it will etch itself into magnesium quite well hehe.

right on man,  your wiring looks super clean under the hood too!!!   your pencil drawing is my new background ;)

wow,  that is a wild looking part.  thanks for the link cebby!

"I have built a transmission using my 91 Lexus trans with my '91 4Runner t-case. "

how did you go about that?  fab your own tailshaft to transfer case adapter or purchase one?

congrats on the house by the way.  do you have a nice shop?

Mating an Automatic Tranmission / Re: inchworm pre runner adapter?

hmm figures i'd have to ditch my trans and transfercase.  was hoping there would be an easy route to keep as much from the truck as possible.  New build list now.  Inchwork pre runner adapter,  re read the thread on the lexus speed sensor dealy (possibly marlin crawlers vss piece.   track down a 23 spline turbo transfer case  or something that would work.  custom driveshafts.  trans computer http://www.awshifting.com/controller.htm  for compression braking down hill.  new driveshafts possibly.

hey bushwacker, did jaffa ever put that part into production?

just looking to see if anyone has used the pre runner adapter http://www.inchwormgear.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=995&osCsid=3f540f040e4176e6338c6029b5f5bf0c  to mate the a341 lexus trans to an a340h's chain drive case in my 94 auto 4 runner (hilux surf)  been reading toylexus's thread and cebby's but just thought this might be the most simple solution to an odd problem.  or am i completely out to lunch?  i didnt have this question before my head hurt from lex tech overload.   :-\

p.s.  i love this site :)  my wife isnt enjoying it as much.
