Oh man, that is sweet!  I'm glad I drifted back in.  I finally got my truck into the shop today, so the fun is about to start, and this should be a big help in figuring out if I can get away with my plans.

'cause its wider with them on and i'm working on tight space

Do you mean the plastic covers that extend over the pulleys?  The valve covers are on engine shown in the pics above.
